Try and find a save (like an autosave) that took place outside. Other than that, uninstalling and installing again might work. Usserymtg (Topic Creator) 7 years ago #5. I finally got it to work. It's the strangest thing. I downloading a save from one of my previous playthroughs, and it loaded just fine. 1. I'm having a weird random problem where just the Food and Drink store is not showing up in the build menu-Sommerville in particular. I have the bar set up at various other settlements, so I don't get why its not available here. I've tried leaving and coming back, reloading a save, but it still isn't available. - My antivirus allows Fallout 4 to run, and I do not have other programs of the kind. - I have no mods which would interfere with saves. - I turned off cloud saves on Steam. - Although sleeping show that the game has been quicksaved, it is not the case as when I reload the last save I'm thrown back to when save/quicksave was working. So basically after about 33 hours of gameplay I decided not to save after I discovered the quicksaving feature, so after that I just kept quicksaving as it was faster and easier. I also relied on the autosave and the steam cloud. I didn't think this would be a problem until today, I quicksaved and then I died but instead of respawning where I quicksaved I got sent back to the menu and when I But when I start the game, my saves don't show up anymore. I've checked, they are well in their standard folder. Vortex show them in its own menu. I've already tried to launch a new game and save, the game saves it in the same folder as my other saves. So I don't see why it should'nt detect them! load save crashes game. After playing for approx. 70 hours, my wife's FO4 crashes when she loads a saved game. Radeon drivers are the most current, tried loading different save files, updated to beta patch, etc. Never had this problem once in the whole 70 hours, not sure why it started today. I just got the exact same problem running Steam and Fallout 4 for the first time on a new Windows 10 computer. It looks like Windows moved Documents to OneDrive. And Windows always keeps 'My Games' in Documents. The following has worked for me. I had 2 documents folders: C:\Users\my-user-name\Documents C:\Users\my-user-name\OneDrive\Documents Going to try to keep this brief. So, recently when I got back into Fallout 4, I noticed that whenever I save my game (overwrite, because I try to keep my saves to 1-2 saves per character), then fast travel, my newer save which should have overwritten the older save is instead a separate save. In other words, the game acts as if made a separate save. This would be fine if I wanted 50 billion Last but not least I keep my saves folder under 100 saves. This means every so often I have to go in the saves folder and move some older saves to a Backup Saves folder I create. There is no need for this if you cycle through a limited set of saves, let's say 3. Overwriting other manual saves (as by your statement "I don't save over saves") are nKXoQQy.
